This ring captures the essence of a modern woman - She can be both rugged and elegant, but never sacrifice one for the other.
 
It is surpisingly easy to wear, as the curvature is created for natural finger placement, and rounded edges for comfort.
 
A close view shows the color and natural shine of each tiny grain of sand that pops out against the dark concrete stain. 
 
This unique multi-media ring was created by first shaping the concrete with various tools:  concrete cutter, stone cutting and sanding bits, then applying multiple layers of a dark concrete stain over several days.  After drying, the stain revealed beautiful particles of sand from within the concrete mixture.  I then applied a clear coat to bring out the shine of the stones, to polish the concrete stain, and to protect the tiny sand particles from loosening while wearing.  Finally, a pink pearl was placed atop the stained concrete piece to capture the contrast of both the rugged and elegance of this piece.
