Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, I moved to Arizona 30 years ago, and fell in love with the beautiful Desert Southwest, which I now call home. I'm happily married, have two adult children and excitedly welcomed the arrival of our first grandchild in December! I enjoying traveling, hiking, rock-hounding, painting, and working on our home renovation/remodel.
You can often find me on a trail in the Superstition Mountains (hiking or 4x4), or scouting for stones at Gem and Mineral Rock Shows. I belong to a local Rock and Mineral club, in which we go rock-hounding on a mountainside, or spend a day in the shop cutting and shaping stones on lapidary equipment.
Fun fact - I have a "National Park Bucket List", and I'm working on seeing all of the National Parks in the United States.
